Project Description

The project is a 30 MW bagasse-based cogeneration power plant by Shri Dudhganga Vedganga Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana Ltd., located in Bidri, Kolhapur, Maharashtra. Operational from 2013 to 2024, it generates renewable electricity using biomass, meeting internal energy needs and supplying surplus power to the grid. By replacing fossil fuel-based electricity, the project reduces greenhouse gas emissions while supporting multiple SDGs with both environmental and social Benefits.
