Project Description

The proposed project titled "23 MW biomass based power supply to grid at Kumbhi, Uttar Pradesh" is a greenfield project. The plant has installed a biomass fired cogeneration system which generates steam for process requirements and electricity production. After fulfilling the in-house demand of electricity the surplus is supplied to the grid. The project activity contributes to SDG goals 7,8,9,12 and 13. The CO2 emissions avoided by the project activity is estimated to be 89,424 tCO2e annually.
